Building Updates

$234,900.41 has been given to the Building Fund from  10/1/2010 through 1/1/2012!!   That’s more than 100% of the pledged amount of $233,581.11 and 94% of the $250,000 goal.  Praise God!  

This past week, Just Builders, began framing the new east addition.  This next week they will continue framing and will also break through the old foundation walls into the lower level of the building.  This begins the process of merging the new addition with the existing building. Beginning next Sunday, kids will remain in the service for the whole time. They will not be dismissed downstairs to KidsCrossing! Our addition on the east end of the church building is taking shape. Framing of the  main floor is  underway, and  will continue  next week. On the lower level, demolition of the east basement wall is complete so that the kitchen and mechanical room now open into the new  addition.  (Sorry, no tours just yet.)…

Lots of demolition has occurred in the basement! Walls have come down, and new walls have been framed. Electrical work continues to happen and the staff is getting settled in their new offices. Please do not use the back stairs. You can also start using the new restrooms next Sunday!          

This past week, framing continued and the nursery wall  was taken down and sink taken out. New framing also occurred in the nursery. Some masonry work began this week as well. This week framing the basement walls will continue and the plumbers and mechanical contractors are scheduled to come and begin work!

Construction in the basement continues — electrical, framing, insulation, finishing the restrooms and more!  Please use the new restrooms beginning today!  

Brick work continued this week, the handicap ramp was started and more contractors were here doing their work.       The Preschool Room looks awesome, the brick work looks great. Just waiting for the manufacturer to deliver the glass for the entry way and some inspections. It’s getting close to being completed!
