There was a lot accomplished this week! Sheet rock was installed in the preschool room and the new lobby and stairway, the cement was poured for part of the new entrance; the new front doors were installed; lots of excavation happened; stucco installation began; and work on the lift continued.
On Sunday mornings, have you noticed that there’s lots of children at AWCC? It’s so wonderful to hear their voices and see their enthusiasm! Recent progress by the Building Team towards our Phase I building expansion includes: Lee Architects released our project for bid to three local contractors on April 21. Bids will be due on May 5. Construction in the basement continues — electrical, framing, insulation, finishing the restrooms and more! Please use the new restrooms beginning today!
Construction has begun! The handicap ramp is removed. All the lumber from that is going to be repurposed ! The front sidewalk has been removed and progress is being made! We anticipate having a handicap ramp next Sunday. For safety, please do not enter the construction zone!

This past week, framing continued and the nursery wall was taken down and sink taken out. New framing also occurred in the nursery. Some masonry work began this week as well. This week framing the basement walls will continue and the plumbers and mechanical contractors are scheduled to come and begin work!
