Thanksgiving Outreach

Last year a few AWCC folks helped out at Mountair Christian Church on Thanksgiving Day. This church, which is about the same size as Applewood, feeds 400-500 folks a full sit-down turkey dinner. They could use some help again! Ways you can serve:

  • Bring 1, 2, 3 pies for them to serve. They need 75 pies.  We usually eat pie together after the Thanksgiving Praise Service, but we can’t this year because of construction (hallelujah)! Bring a pie anyway (or 2 or 3) and we will deliver them to Mountair.
  • If you don’t have time to bake a pie, how about donating some money and we can purchase pies at Costco!
  • 3-4 pans of dressing.
  • People to serve the food, and sit and chat with their guests are welcome with open arms and deliver food. That’s all from 11 am—2 pm!

Sign-up sheet is in the lobby. THANK YOU!!!! Questions? Talk to Karen Chambers
