Building Team Update
Recent progress by the Building Team towards our Phase 1 building expansion includes:
- Lee Architects completed a full drawing set which was submitted to Jefferson County for “plan review” on March 18. Jeffco completed their review and issued our building permit on April 1!
- The team has completed interviews of 4 candidates for general contractor (including our own Mark Bechler). In the coming weeks, we will decide which of these candidates will receive bid requests.
- The team met with AWCC staff to discuss a variety of concerns and ideas about Phase 1.
Our next major task is to complete a bid request package with all the details needed to ensure informed and complete bids. Once we have received bids and selected a general contractor, we will bring Phase 1 back to the members of AWCC for final vote and approval.
