It’s not too early to start thinking about being baptized this summer. In the Covenant Church, we choose to express and understand baptism as “a means of grace.” In this expression we are affirming that God acts in baptism as well as in us. At the same time, we recognize that baptism does witness to the community the Christian hope which is grounded in God’s grace, hope for both the individual receiving baptism and for the community standing by, supporting the baptized one, and being encouraged to continue to hope in Christ.
